When the Birdhouse is used without the MidNite combiner, this cable is used. If your machine has a Birdhouse and our Remote trip breakers, but no MidNite Rapid Shutdown combiners, you'll need one of these cables.

The MNBirdhouse1 remote actuator, which has been approved by firefighters, should be mounted in a clear, easily accessible position so that the array combiners can be safely disconnected from the ground when required. The disconnect combiners' hard-wired link offers positive feedback that the disconnect on the roof has been flung. Multiple combiners can be disconnected with a single MNBirdhouse1. The MNBirdhouse1 has a speaker that will announce when it is safe to climb onto the roof, and it will also warn you that voltage is always present up to the combiner during the day. It will notify you that there is no PV voltage present at night. Multiple redundant sources power the MNBirdhouse1. It comes in two colors: red and green. The MNDiscoPSB power supply, which will also power the MNBirdhouse1, can be used to power each combiner. The MNBirdhouse1 also has an internal backup battery and an indoor 120 VAC power supply that can be used as a DC supply. The MNBirdhouse1 uses just 1 watt of power. To link the Birdhouse and combiners, use MNCAT5-600 600 V CAT5 USE-2 compliant cable.

The MNBDM battery disconnect module can be used to power a remote actuating breaker, which can be used to disconnect circuits such as battery, charge controller, and generator circuits. It operates in 24 VDC, 36 VDC, and 48 VDC systems.

When there are no combiners linked to the MNBirdhouse1, the MNFX-CABLE should be used.
